Imitation of Dryden

14/04/2010

Shabby the man, and shabby he alone
He who can call Berlin his home,
Who has no money, and wakes long enough to say:
‘What was that about tomorrrow? I slept today.’

Based on Dryden’s translation of Horace’s Odes, III, xxix.
